Traditional Backyard Landscaping

3D Design and landscaping completed for a single-family home located in Maple Ridge, B.C.

Here's How We Did It

Homeowner's Wishes:

The homeowner for this project was looking for a traditional, dog-friendly landscape that would look appealing year-round.

For this design, we used a variety of evergreen species, including rhododendrons, hydrangeas, boxwoods, and perennial flowers. The plants were incased in a boulder edge border around the edge of the garden beds. From the backyard gate to the patio, a flagstone pathway was built to prevent the grass from being damaged in high-traffic areas. By incorporating a small bed of river rock under the weeping nootka cypress, the area was successfully turned into a bathroom spot for the homeowner’s three dogs.

Having a designated bathroom spot for their pets, allowed their lawn to stay intact and clean for their friends and family to enjoy.
